Abundant Life Community Services, Inc. (ALCS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the well-being of the underserved population through stabilized living conditions, education, and advocacy. Since its inception, in 2000, the organization has been successfully addressing community needs by working collaboratively with caring partners.
Our responsive approach has resulted in community defined programs in education, food security, disaster relief, summer camps, family life education, youth mentoring, and civic engagement.

Meet our New Executive Director
Fostering Community Empowerment and Transformation at ALCS
Krishanda Royal-Jones a New Bern native and former volunteer and employee at Abundant Life Community Services (ALCS), brings a wealth of experience to our organization.With more than a decade of leadership in nonprofit management, community outreach, and human services,
Mrs. Jones’ professional background includes her recent service as Chief of Staff and Interim Executive Director at Religious Community Services. In these roles, she successfully managed cross-functional teams, created new outreach initiatives, and fostered collaboration with local service providers.
She is also the founder and CEO of Created With Resilience, Inc., which focuses on emotional well-being and the holistic view of personal development within families.
Krishanda holds a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with an Emphasis in Addictions and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services from East Carolina University. Additionally, she earned her Associate in Arts in Psychology from Craven Community College and holds certification as a Family Life Educator.
Mrs. Jones brings a bold vision and compassionate leadership style to guide the organization’s next chapter of growth and impact. She is excited to share her heart and vision with the community that she raised her children and grandchildren .

Krishanda has lead and created a yearly platform for Mothers and Daughters and have taught family life education to several non-profits. Received certification as a certified Family Life Educator(National Council on Family Relations). Completed Leadership training from Homegrown Leaders (Rural Center) and Leadership Jones(Grassroot Leadership Academy).Krishanda is a motivational speaker that specializes in topics for women, families, your purpose ,and mental health.
