Abundant Life Community Services, Inc, (ALCS) is a nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to creating resilient families through education, strong social connections and opportunities for personal and economic independence. Since its inception in 2000, the organization has worked collaboratively with community partners to achieve this objective.

ALCS seeks to see that every family has the tools necessary to create resilient
and sustainable lives that benefit both them and their communities. ALCS is a

Connection Academy After School Program

Connection Academy After School Program provides quality educational, recreational, and social programs for students in a structured and safe environment. Daily nutritional snacks, homework help, tutoring services, along with activities to promote emotional regulation, problem solving skills, and strong social connections are the core components of the program.

Parent Plus Program

The Parent Plus program is designed to bridge the gap between Parents, students, and the school system. Our goal is to equip every parent with knowledge, information, and assistance that will support successful outcomes for the family. This will be achieved by providing a positive learning environment facilitated by a Certified Family Life Educator
and “Parents Night Out” activities

Family Crisis Intervention

Through our Family Crisis Intervention (FCI) program we provide immediate relief for emergency needs for services including Food assistance (Mobile Food Distribution and Food Pantry), Utility and Rent assistance, and transportation assistance. Individuals or families may complete a registration form to receive assistance. Individuals or families can call (252)616-1818 to complete the registration process .

The Resource Hub

The Greater Duffyfield Resource Hub is an initiative, sponsored by ALCS, that addresses the barriers of transportation and service gaps, by providing a network of satellite offices in low resource communities.
